WHO: 18,500 patients in Gaza need specialized medical care
unavailable locally
Tuesday 3-February-2026
GAZA, (PIC)
Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World
Health Organization (WHO), said that over 18,500 patients in Gaza
require specialized medical care that is not available in the
besieged territory.
In a post on the US-based platform X (formerly Twitter) on
Tuesday, Tedros said WHO and its partners supported the evacuation
of 5 patients and 7 companions to Egypt through the Rafah crossing
on Monday.
He added that this was the first medical evacuation via this
route since March 2025.
Dr. Tedros emphasized the urgent need for rehabilitation and
reconstruction to reduce dependence on medical evacuations,
following more than two years of relentless attacks on Gaza.
He also stressed the importance of rapidly boosting health
services, including the supply of medical materials, repairing
damaged facilities, and expanding vital services to build a
resilient and sustainable health system inside Gaza.
Additionally, he called for the immediate reopening of medical
referral routes to the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, to
ensure faster access to life-saving care.
Earlier, Dr. Mohammed Abu Salmiya, Director of Al-Shifa Medical
Complex in Gaza, said specialized medical committees are
prioritizing cases based on severity. He noted that around 450
patients are in critical condition, and some are dying almost daily
due to delays in receiving treatment outside the Strip.

Palestinian Health Ministry: 11,000 cancer patients
denied specialized treatment
Wednesday 4-February-2026
GAZA, (PIC)
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Wednesday that
cancer patients in the Gaza Strip are facing one of the gravest
humanitarian crises, as the near-total collapse of specialized
healthcare leaves thousands without treatment and their medical fate
uncertain.
In a statement marking World Cancer Day, the ministry said around
11,000 cancer patients in Gaza are being denied specialized
diagnostic and therapeutic care, both inside and outside the
enclave.
It added that nearly 4,000 patients who received referrals for
treatment abroad more than two years ago remain unable to travel due
to the continued closure of crossings and obstruction of patient
movement.
The ministry said the shutdown of specialized hospitals, along
with the extensive destruction of the Gaza Cancer Center, has
dramatically worsened patient suffering and depleted critical
healthcare resources, including chemotherapy drugs and diagnostic
and follow-up equipment.
According to the statement, 64 percent of cancer medications are
now completely out of stock, while essential diagnostic tools, such
as MRI scanners and breast cancer imaging equipment, are
unavailable, accelerating the deterioration of patients' health
conditions.
The ministry said cancer patients in Gaza are enduring a
compounded medical, psychological, social, and economic siege amid
catastrophic conditions that deprive them of their most basic rights
to treatment and a dignified life.
It urged local and international actors to take immediate action
to enable cancer patients to travel for treatment abroad, ensure the
unrestricted entry of life-saving medicines, and rehabilitate
damaged healthcare facilities, in line with humanitarian and legal
obligations toward Gaza's civilian population.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime halts travel of
third group of Gaza patients through Rafa'h
Wednesday 4-February-2026
GAZA, (PIC)
The Israeli occupation apartheid regime on Wednesday canceled the
coordinated travel of a third group of patients from the Gaza Strip
through the Rafa'h crossing, deepening the suffering of the sick and
injured and underscoring the continued Israeli restrictions on
movement.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said it was informed that
Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) had canceled the day's coordination
for the departure of patients and wounded civilians via Rafa'h.
Despite the restrictions, 40 Palestinians returned to Gaza early
Wednesday after prolonged delays, amid severe obstacles imposed by
the IOF at the crossing, including lengthy inspections and
interrogations. The measures caused further delays and added to the
humanitarian hardship faced by returnees.
Rafa'h was partially reopened on February 2 for the first time in
nearly two years under strict Israeli controls. Under the agreed
arrangements, 50 Palestinians were to enter Gaza on the first day,
while 50 patients, each accompanied by a caregiver, were to depart
to Egypt.
In practice, only 12 Palestinians were allowed to enter, and just
eight patients were permitted to leave.
The 'Hamas Movement described the treatment of returnees at
Rafa'h as a "crime of abuse," urging mediators and guarantor states
to intervene immediately to stop the practices.
The Movement said the Israeli occupation continues to severely
restrict humanitarian aid to Gaza with no meaningful improvement,
despite the ceasefire entering its second phase.
Hamas spokesman 'Hazim Qasim warned that Gaza's humanitarian
conditions are worsening amid a new cold-weather system, as
displaced families shelter in tents lacking basic necessities. He
said restrictions on fuel and cooking gas, or allowing only
negligible quantities, are intensifying the crisis.
On medical evacuations, the Palestinian Red Crescent said Israeli
authorities on Tuesday barred the departure of 29 patients and 50
companions via Rafa'h, out of 45 patients and 90 companions
scheduled to travel for treatment abroad, despite prior coordination
by relevant authorities.
Ra-id El-Nims, the society's director of media, said around
20,000 patients in Gaza are unable to receive treatment locally and
urgently require care abroad. He said the Red Crescent continues to
coordinate with local bodies and international organizations to
evacuate as many critical cases as possible.
The World Health Organization said more than 18,500 patients in
Gaza require specialized medical care unavailable locally. WHO
director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stressed the urgent need
for rehabilitation and reconstruction in Gaza to reduce forced
reliance on medical evacuations after more than two years of Israeli
attacks.
Internationally, Secretary-General of the United Nations, António
Guterres, called for wide-scale facilitation of humanitarian aid
into Gaza, including through Rafa'h.
Speaking at the annual session of the UN committee on Palestinian
rights, he said any sustainable solution for Gaza must comply with
international law and lead to unified, legitimate, and
internationally recognized Palestinian governance.

'Hamas condemns abusive Israeli practices at Rafa'h
crossing
Tuesday 3-February-2026
GAZA, (PIC)
The 'Hamas Movement has strongly denounced the Israeli occupation
authority for maltreating Palestinian passengers who entered the
Gaza Strip through the Rafa'h border crossing on Monday.
"'The returnees, particularly women and children, were subjected
to deliberate mistreatment and extortion by Israeli forces [at the
crossing], including coercive interrogation, blindfolding, prolonged
detention, threats against their children, and attempts to force
them to collaborate," Hamas said in a statement on Tuesday.
'Hamas added that the passengers had been exposed to "deliberate
and humiliating Israeli practices that cannot be regarded as normal
travel procedures, but rather systematic violations aimed at
instilling fear among returnees and dissuading them from resettling
in the Strip."
Hamas urged international human rights organizations to document
Israe's serious violations against Palestinian returnees and to
make legal efforts to hold Israeli leaders accountable for such
practices at international and local courts.
The Movement also called on mediators and sponsors of the
ceasefire agreement to act swiftly to halt such practices at the
crossing and pressure the Israeli occupation regime to reopen the
Rafa'h crossing under normal conditions and without restrictions.

Hamas releases its second narrative on Operation Al-Aqsa Flood
Wednesday 24-December-2025
GAZA, (PIC)
Hamas announced Wednesday the release of its second narrative
on Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood,” published in Arabic and English.
Titled “Our Narrative: Al-Aqsa Flood—Two Years of
Steadfastness and Resolve for Liberation,” the publication
presents the Movement’s political and historical account of
events that happened during and after the October 7, 2023
cross-border operation.
“Al-Aqsa Flood was not just a military operation but the
birth of liberated awareness and a resurgent will for
liberation, untainted by deception or distortion,” Hamas said,
affirming that the subsequent war and genocide had failed to
break the Palestinian people or erase their memory.
Hamas stressed that the establishment of an independent
Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and the return
of refugees to their homes, “is not a dream, but a right
enshrined in international conventions and a historical and
political entitlement.”
The narrative is composed of eight chapters. The opening
chapter explores the motives and circumstances behind the
“Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, while the second, entitled “The Day
of Glorious Crossing,” sheds light on Hamas’s position on the
October 7th events.
The Hamas narrative’s third chapter highlights the need to
investigate the October 7th events and unearth the truth about
what happened on that day. The fourth outlines Israel’s
genocidal war on Gaza, while the fifth talks about the
Movement’s bid to halt the Israeli aggression as well as the
Trump plan.
The sixth chapter reviews the “Achievements of Al-Aqsa
Flood”. The seventh explains how “Hamas Cannot Be Isolated,”
while the eighth chapter details the “Priorities of the Next
Stage” both politically and on the ground.
The release of this narrative comes amid ongoing Israeli
violations of the ceasefire agreement, debates over the future
of the resistance’s weapons, and Hamas’s role within the
Palestinian political landscape.

Palestinian Ministry of Health: 5 killed in 24 hours, death
toll reaches 71,800
Monday 2-February-2026
GAZA, (PIC)
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Monday that
five Palestinian martyrs
were brought to hospitals in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours.
Among them were two bodies
recovered from under the rubble, in addition to four wounded
individuals.
According to the Ministry, the total death toll and injuries since
the start of Israel's genocidal war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, have now
reached 71,800 victims and
171,555
wounded.
The Ministry noted that many victims remain trapped under the rubble
and on the roads, as emergency and civil defense crews are still unable
to reach them due to ongoing attacks and access restrictions.
Since the implementation of the latest ceasefire on October 11, 2025,
526 Palestinians have been killed and 1,447 injured as a result of
Israeli violations. Additionally, 717 bodies have been recovered from
under the rubble during this period.
In October 2023, Israel, with backing from the United States and
European countries, launched a genocidal war in Gaza that included
widespread killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and mass
arrests, ignoring repeated international calls and rulings from the
International Court of Justice demanding a halt to the war.

24 Palestinians killed, many others injured in Israeli
attacks on Gaza
Wednesday 4-February-2026
GAZA, (PIC)
At least 24 Palestinian
citizens were martyred, including eight
children and one paramedic,

According to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporter,
Israeli shelling this morning struck tents sheltering displaced families
in El-Mawasi area of Khan Younus,
southern Gaza, killing two girl children and one paramedic and injuring
12 others.
The Red Crescent said that paramedic Husain El-Samiri was killed in
Khan Younis while performing his humanitarian duty.
Israeli tanks also attacked Gaza Citys El-Tuffa'h neighborhood,
targeting a building belonging to the 'Habboush family. The attack
resulted in the killing of four people, including two children.
Seven more Palestinians were killed in continued Israeli strikes on
the same neighborhood of Gaza City.
Three civilians, including a woman and an infant, were killed in an
Israeli attack on El-Zaytoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza, according to
local sources.
Three people, including a child, were killed in Israeli artillery
shelling that targeted tents and homes in the Qizan Abu Rashwan area,
south of Khan Younus.
Later in the afternoon, a medical source reported that one person was
killed and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a group
of civilians in the northern El-Shati
refugee camp, west of Gaza City.
A citizen and a girl child were also martyred and several others
sustained injuries in an Israeli strike on a tent in Dair El-Bala'h City
in central Gaza.
In the northwest of Rafa'h, a female employee at the Doctors Without
Borders hospital was injured by Israeli random gunfire while she was on
duty inside the hospital pharmacy.
Meanwhile, Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire today in the
eastern, central, and southern areas of Khan Younus.
Israeli gunboats also opened machinegun fire towards the coastline of
Khan Younus.
On Tuesday, a child from the Abu El-'Hadayid family died of wounds he
had previously sustained from Israeli fire in Khan Younus, while a woman
was killed by Israeli drone gunfire near El-Shawwa Square in Gaza City's
El-Tuffa'h neighborhood.

'Hamas condemns latest deadly strikes in Gaza, says Netanyahu
aims to derail ceasefire
Wednesday 4-February-2026
GAZA, (PIC)
The 'Hamas Movement has said that today's criminal bombardment in the
Gaza Strip, which killed 24 civilians, underscores that Israel's
genocidal war has not ended.
"This escalation reflects war criminal Netanyahu's deliberate intent
to sabotage the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, particularly
with regard to the reopening of the Rafa'h crossing," Hamas said in a
statement on Wednesday.
'Hamas dismissed Israeli claims of a shooting incident targeting one
of its soldiers in northern Gaza as "a flimsy pretext to justify its
continued crimes and aggression against the Palestinian people," and "an
attempt to impose a permanent reality of abuse and terror in Gaza."
The Movement called on mediators and sponsors of the ceasefire
agreement to take a decisive position against the conduct of "war
criminal Netanyahu," accusing him of systematically seeking to derail
the agreement and resume the campaign of killing and starvation in Gaza.

Wednesday 4-February-2026
WEST BANK, (PIC)
A Palestinian young man was martyred and several others were injured,
on Tuesday evening, when the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) stormed
the West Bank city of Aree'ha (Jericho) and attacked local residents.
According to the Palestinian health ministry, 24-year-old Sa'eed
El-Shaikh was killed after being shot by Israeli forces during their
raid in the city of Aree'ha (Jericho).
Local sources reported that three young men were wounded by live fire
during skirmishes with Israeli forces in Jericho, while a woman was
injured after being run over by an IOFs vehicle during the events.
For its part, the Red Crescent said its paramedics provided first aid
for two young men who were beaten by Israeli soldiers during
confrontations in the Kitf El-Wad neighborhood of the city.
Local sources said that Israeli occupation forces raided a house in
central Jericho and assaulted its residents, injuring two of them.
In northern El-Khaleel (Hebron), dozens of Palestinians suffered from
their exposure to tear gas after Israeli forces stormed El-'Arroub
refugee camp and attacked Palestinian homes.
The Israeli occupation forces also ordered storeowners to close their
businesses at gunpoint and searched several homes, vandalizing their
contents.
In Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), the Israeli occupation forces also stormed
on Tuesday the town of Teqoa southeast of the city, where they clashed
with local youths and fired live ammunition, stun grenades, and tear gas
canisters at them.
Earlier in the day, two foreign peace activists were injured by the
illegal Israeli settlers, who stormed the Shallal El-'Auja area of
Aree'ha (Jericho) and assaulted them.

spread among homes.
In Toubas, Israeli occupation
forces kidnapped a citizen from El-Dakniya neighborhood in the city
following a raid that lasted for four hours.
In Nablus, the IOFs kidnapped a young man from his home in
Tal village and an unknown number of
citizens during a raid in Burqa town.
In Toulkarm, two young men were
taken prisoner during an IOFs raid in 'Illar town.
Two other citizens were kidnaped by Israeli forces from their homes
in El-Am'ari refugee camp near El-Beereh City and Idthna

IOFs deliver several demolition orders northeast of El-Quds

Wednesday 4-February-2026
El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)
The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) delivered on Tuesday demolition
notices for 11 Palestinian homes and structures in the town of 'Hizma,
northeast of El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), as part of ongoing measures
targeting Palestinian property.
According to El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Governorate, Israeli forces
raided the town of 'Hizma and delivered demolition orders for seven
homes and four facilities located at the town's entrance.
The Governorate said that Israeli occupation forces repeatedly raid
the town of 'Hizma, storming homes and converting some into temporary
military outposts, stressing that such practices exacerbate the
suffering of local residents.
Since the end of last month, Israeli forces have been besieging the
town of 'Hizma, imposing a complete blockade on its entrances and
preventing Palestinians from entering or leaving. This has prevented
students and citizens from reaching schools and workplaces.
A few days ago, Israeli forces seized more than 35 vehicles and
motorcycles in the town, converted three homes into interrogation
centers, and turned other houses into military barracks.
Recently, the IOFs carried out a large-scale demolition campaign
around El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), targeting many Palestinian homes
and buildings.

Land Settlement: An Israeli law that strips Palestinian
Jerusalemites of their land, threatens their forced displacement
Wednesday 4-February-2026
El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)
El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Governorate warned of the latest
decision by the Israeli occupation authorities to complete the
settlement and registration of all lands of El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)
in the Israeli land registry, the Tabu,
by the end of 2029, in the most dangerous settlement step since the
occupation of the city in 1967, representing a shift from a policy of
gradual confiscation to a final and documented determination of land
ownership in favor of the occupation entity and its colonial
institutions.
The Governorate clarified in a statement issued on Tuesday that the
new decision No. 3792 comes as a continuation and a direct escalation of
decision No. 3790 issued in 2018, which was included within what was
called the plan to reduce social and economic gaps in El-Quds (occupied
Jerusalem), while in essence it was an organized colonial project to
settle lands according to Israeli law and impose full Israeli
sovereignty over the occupied city.
The settlement project is considered a blatant circumvention of
international law applicable to occupied territories, including El-Quds
(occupied Jerusalem) and its surroundings, which prohibits the transfer
of private property into public property and prevents the dispossession
of the occupied population or depriving them of their property. The
implementation of this law results in the displacement of Palestinians
from their homes and the loss of their lands, which is classified under
international law as war crimes and constitutes a clear violation of the
rules of international humanitarian law.
El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Governorate affirmed that the
Palestinian Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) today face an imminent threat to
their presence in their homes and lands, not because of the absence of
actual ownership, but due to the impossibility of proving it under
coercive Israeli conditions.
It explained that the majority of Jerusalemite homes are built on
lands whose registration procedures were not completed after the
occupation authorities halted the land settlement process following
1967, leaving ownership registered in the names of ancestors or in
Jordanian records that are not recognized, while many heirs live outside
the country, which allows the occupation to classify them as absentees
and activate the Absentees Property Law to register the lands in the
name of the state, the occupation municipality, or settlement
associations.
It confirmed that through this legal maneuver, the homeowner is
turned into an occupant without legal title, while the procedures to
register the land in the name of the occupation are completed, followed
by eviction orders, demolition, or final transfer of ownership that
cannot be challenged later.
According to the statement, since the launch of the settlement
project in 2018, around 50 basins have been completed in various areas
of Jerusalem, with a total area of approximately 2000 dunums and 300
square meters, and the results clearly showed the nature of the project
and its colonial objectives.
It pointed to the registration of about 85% of the lands in the names
of settlement neighborhoods or settlements, or their transfer to the
ownership of the occupation state and its public bodies, while only
about 1% were registered in the names of the Palestinian Maqdisi
(Jerusalemite) owners.
According to the statement, the project included areas where the
existing illegal Israeli settlements are established or planned, and it
also affected inhabited Palestinian neighborhoods, leading to the
issuance of eviction orders against families who were not aware of the
settlement procedures, as happened with 17 families in the Al-Mashahid
neighborhood in Umm Tuba, south east Jerusalem, in 2025, where their
lands were registered in the name of what is called the Jewish National
Fund.
It concluded by emphasizing that the danger of the new decision
increases with the expansion of the powers and budgets of the settlement
committees, the strengthening of partnership with the Custodian of
Absentees Property, and turning it into an official partner in
implementing the project, which opens the door wide for extensive
application of the Absentees Property Law to thousands of properties,
especially given the presence of heirs outside the city and Palestine as
well, or the inability of families to provide recognizable ownership
documents.

UN urges unhindered humanitarian access through Rafa'h
Crossing
Tuesday 3-February-2026
RAFAH, (PIC)
The United Nations said it welcomed the reopening of the Rafa'h
Crossing and stressed the need to facilitate the safe and voluntary
movement of civilians in and out of Gaza in line with international law.
UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said on Monday that adequate
humanitarian supplies must be allowed into Gaza with reduced obstacles
at Rafa'h and other crossings.
For his part, Ramiz Alakbarov, the UN resident coordinator in the
occupied Palestinian territory, described the reopening of Rafa'h
Crossing in both directions as an important step consistent with the
first phase of the ceasefire agreement, while calling for expanded and
sustained humanitarian access.
The World Health Organization said it is supporting medical
evacuation efforts, with patients transferred to Egypt via Rafa'h and
others routed through the Karm Abu Salim crossing, which remains under
Israeli control.
Dujarric said UN agencies had carried out advance assessments of
roads and evacuation routes, noting that the UN Office for the
Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has established a reception area at
Nasir Hospital in
Khan Younus, providing psychosocial
support, protection services, food, information, and internet access for
returnees.
The UN also expressed concern over continued Israeli air strikes and
reports of civilian deaths in Gaza over the past two days, underscoring
the urgency of ensuring unhindered humanitarian access.
Rafa'h remains the only crossing for civilian movement between Gaza
and Egypt and a critical lifeline amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis
following Israel's genocide against the Gaza Strip.
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
"Because of that,
We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless
for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed
humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32).
"And whoever kills a
believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide
eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and
has prepared for him a great torment"(Al-Nisa, 4: 93).
"If you do good, you do good for yourselves;
and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves. Then, when the latter
(final) promise comes, they (your enemies) will sadden your faces, and
enter the Masjid (in Jerusalem), as they entered it the first time, and
will destroy what they had taken over with (total) destruction
(Al-Isra, 17: 7).

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain
it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the
five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a
continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the
Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for
only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be
upon them, and Solomon's son).
After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC,
followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before
the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.
By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three
population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were
melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians
when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims
in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.
So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have
the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and
Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.
No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot
change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his
descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.
No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their
supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able
to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised
for them, and kept His promise ever since.
This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed
Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and
the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948,
1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings
(1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current
genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a
blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and
apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air
strikes on many Arab states since 1948.
The following news
stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the
Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of
Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Notes aboutterms
&namesof
people and places:
1. Names of people and places have beenstandardizedto
match standard Arabic grammatical rules.
2.Underlined
lettersand letters preceded by anapostropheare
references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English
alphabet.
3. The English letteriis
equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known askasra,
as inIbraheem
and Qasim
as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use
it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.
4. The English lettereis
equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known asfat'ha,
as in A'hmed
and Mu'hammed.
5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis,
who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the
West Bank, asillegal
Israeli settlers, than referring to them ascolonists.
The termcolonyis
a reference to a large entity or a country, such asAmericanstatesbefore
independence. It was also a reference toEgypt, andIndia,
when they were British colonies.
In addition, the term "colony"
represents apositive
nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of
English, particularly in America and Britain.
6. It is more
accurate to use the verbs "abduct"
and "kidnap"
than the verbs "detain"
and "arrest,"
in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and
interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is
because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal
in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the
Palestinian people.
